Our Journeys…

Black Women Birthing Resistance is committed to lifting up the voices of Black women, mothers, midwives, birthworkers, and advocates, through the telling of our stories.  In addition to the women whose stories this project is collecting through interviews, research, and oral history, we have dedicated this space to the telling of the stories of the project’s coordinators.  Join us as we journey through birthing, navigating societal constraints and life’s changes and surprises, toward our individual visions for self, body, family, and community.
